Zephyr

Zephyr was identified in 2001 in the waters around Chanonry Point. A spirited and sociable dolphin, she charmed all who encountered her with her boisterous energy and playfulness. She was an adept hunter of salmon and thrived in the Moray Firth with the other dolphins that live there. Sadly, we learned of Zephyr's passing in 2023. Though Zephyr is no longer with us, her memory lives on in the hearts of all who were touched by her presence. May her spirit continue to dance among the waves.

Kiera

I leave this dedication for a beautiful young woman called Kiera. Kiera adopted Rainbow with WDC and cared very much for the ocean and the creatures that live within it. I wanted to leave this dedication in remembrance of Kiera and as a reminder to us and her family that although Kiera is no longer with us, her love for the ocean and her support for the conservation of whales and dolphins inspires us here every day. Her memory lives on in the conservation of the creatures we all love so much.

I adopted Mischief for a long time after Lightning had moved away and I loved them both very much. I loved hearing about him and his escapades - he was such a lovable character and will be missed very much; however, he lived a wonderful free and happy life doing what free dolphins should do!

I was very saddened to hear about Mischief. I hope they are swimming freely over at rainbow bridge. Mischief you’ll be greatly missed. Thank you for all the years of happiness you created by being part of WDC. May you rest freely and peacefully. 🐬💔

I adopted Mischief for you when you passed away, it was a positive thing to do & made me feel that in some way, you were as free as Mischief & still loving life. So sad he has gone but I'm hoping he is swimming & jumping in heaven as he did down here.

Mischief was a big, mature, male dolphin who really lived up to his name, always ready for a splash around and a game of chase. Mischief was an adventurous and fantastic dolphin to observe and we're thankful for all he taught us, including how far these dolphins can travel, behavioural interactions between families, and most of all, how to get into lots of dolphin mischief. Mischief was loved by so many WDC supporters and we will miss hearing about him.

My Grandparents went on many holiday's to the seaside. My dogs never saw a beach (not living near the sea) but I can imagine them loving the seaside. The photo is one of my dogs who passed away last year, Hamish

Brian, I miss you and still have a place in my heart for you. I look at the moon on nights when it shines brightly and remember you. I shall go to sit on a beach and tell the waves how much you loved the sea. I hope Lucy and the others were waiting for you at the gates to walk you towards those who had loved you in life. I'm sure we will be together in the next life....I love you- then, now and for ever more xx
